We all face failure. If you are struggling, facing a time or situation of failure, understand that you are not the only one. Failure is universal and we all go thru it. Again, We 'ALL' face failure!

With that in mind, embrace that fact. Its going to happen... the stumbles, roadblocks, struggles... failure is gonna happen.

Now, from failure, we can gain wisdom! We can learn and gain the knowledge needed to get past that line of defeat. No matter how many times you have failed, it doesn't matter. Learn from it, gain wisdom, and move forward.

Just because we have failed, understand that you personally are not a failure.
Failure is an event... it is in the moment... it is for that time only! Take the stumbling block of failure that has occurred and turn it into a stepping stone. Step on it to propel you forward towards your goals, your dreams, your success.

Failure is very much like FERTILIZER. Fertilizer stinks... its made of cow p***... it's gross... inconvenient in that moment because we can smell it when we walk out the door.. yet we use it to make our lawns, flowerbeds, and gardens grow. It brings nourishment and creates growth, and does so quickly.

Last thing about fertilizer is the fact we should not play in it... don't roll around or wallow in it, don't lie down in it... no fertilizer baths! (gross)

5 things you can do right now to take your Failure to Fertilize Your Success:

1. Draw a line... Make the decision to move forward right now... DECIDE... Just doing this will begin to put into place the right mindset for you, as well as the energy level around you... RIGHT NOW, DECIDE! Even say it out loud so your mind doesn't just think it, but hears it, and begins to build faith toward the success you deserve.

2. Do an evaluation... Take a look at where you went wrong, see the possible mis-steps and/or wrong course you took. Remember, part of failure is gaining the wisdom to move past that line of defeat.

3. Seek Counsel... Ask for advice from someone who has gone thru it before, talk with a mentor, or even someone who has no personal gain from any decision you might make (yet is someone you look up to and is more successful in the five areas of life) Get their thoughts and even better, their heart on your situation.

4. Formulate a Plan... You've done the first 3, now put a plan together. Not a huge business plan, necessarily. Just outline this is what you're going to do, how you are going to do it, or how you are going to avoid the mistakes from last time and this is how we're going to move on.

Lastly, but most critical,
5. Take Action... Do it now!!! Don't procrastinate (maybe thats one of your failures) You've just read this, take 5-10-15 minutes to do these steps right now and begin taking action! DON'T WAIT! Take Action!

When it comes to failure, yes it stinks, it is inconvenient, don't spend time and play, wallow, or lie down in it. Let it create the growth in your life and be a stepping stone towards success.

Let Failure be what it is... "Fertilizer for Your Success!"

Now Thats Good Stuff!

Never Give Up On 7-UP!

I was recently reading the book "Why We Want You To Be Rich!" by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki, who tell a story from the early 1900's. A man so loved lemon-lime flavored type sodas, he decided to create his own.

In his first creation of the soda, he named it 3-up. It flopped. He tried again to make his dream come true, named it 4-Up, but failed. He then gives it another try, reformulates and names it 5-Up. Of course, you know that it fails... and so... you know the rest of the story... or do you? The man, not wanting to give up on the dream, does create 6-Up, and that formula fails.

And with that, the man calls it quit and walks away! The very next year, his formula gets picked up, by someone else, right where he left off, is tweaked just a bit, and '7-UP' is born!

Whether the story is true or not, the principles of the story rings 'oh' so true!
1. You've got to have a dream...Part of your dream has to be what you are passionate about... And you have to keep it in front of you.
2. More often than not, when you want to quit the most, you are just one step away from success... you have to push through to the next level... If you do stop, you will have to start over from the begining... SO,
3. Don't ever, ever give up... Don't ever stop... Keep going.... Have the dream in front of you and never give up. Talk to those individuals that will encourage and motivate you, develop those relationships. As the momentum begins to roll along, let it carry you to the next level. Keep the vision, the dream... and don't ever give up!!!

Got a dream? Feel like giving up? Did you start something and it seemed to not work out?
I have to tell you that Success is yours for the taking, if you just don't give up.

Now Thats GOOD STUFF,
Jim Kondo
"Making Success A Reality"

* Success Tip: Next time you're at the store pick up a can/bottle of 7-UP and put it on your shelf, desk, somewhere you will see it and be reminded to "Never Quit, Never Give Up, Keep the Dream Alive"

Tearing Down to Grow!

I actually wrote this quite awhile back, but felt it appropriate to share with you all here.

Tearing Down to Grow
- In the town I live in there has been a movement of economic development and growth. So the downtown area is being revitalized and as part of the growth, new buildings are being built. But in order to make room for the new buildings, old ones are being torn down and completely removed.

Some of the building that are being removed were of great value and in their day, 30-40-60 years ago, were a centerpiece of business to the area. Today, they are being leveled and cleared to make room for a bigger, better, brighter future.

What does this have to do with you???

For our bigger, better, brighter future, there are things in our lives that must be torn down to make room for the growth that needs to take place. For a plant to grow, the seed must first die before it sprouts up. As an example... Jesus said that we are to take up our cross daily.

We all have centerpieces in our lives that have been built up, were vital to our success for the time we needed them, and may even have some value to them today, yet are getting in the way of our success, our calling, our purpose and destiny! In order for us to grow, whether it be financially, spiritually, physically, mentally, socially, room must be made. We have to clear out those centerpieces getting in the way of the new growth being built up inside of us.

So how do you know what to tear down and level as you make room for your growth? When it comes to personal growth, there are 3 questions I frequently ask myself:
I. What are you listening to? (Radio, tv, media, CD's... are they adding value to me and my success or are they just entertainment... are they a positive influence or negative influence... how does it affect my attitude)
II. What are you reading? (Am I reading at all... Is what I'm reading challenging or encouraging me... Is what I'm reading going to help me grow and maybe even help me locate those areas that need to be leveled )
III. Who are you talking to? (Am I developing relationships with people who will add value to me as well as I can add value to them... Are there people that will be honest with me and tell me the area's that need to be torn down and that I need to grow in and am I developing open communication with them)

Growth and develpment can be painful. That is why so many people refuse to go thru it. Yet, the crazy thing is, if you are willing to grow and level the areas that stand in the way, it is less painful than not growing and staying where you are!

When Jesus took up his cross for us once and for all, it was painful, it was messy, and it brought death. It seemed like there was no hope. But remember, it was only 3 days later and life was BIGGER, BETTER, and BRIGHTER.

Make sure you are growing. Do what it takes. Ask yourself the 3 questions I posed earlier and be honest with yourself. Then be willing to level and clear out those areas that stand in the way of new growth in your life. Only then will you see the development and growth that leads to the success you are called to and destined for!!!

'Now Thats GOOD STUFF'

What is 'GOOD STUFF'?

GOOD STUFF: \ˈgud - ˈstəf\ (n, adj, action word, defines what is GOOD)

1.
